This is food to eat, not to savor and enjoy. I've probably been here over 50 times in the last 5 years just to fill my belly.
The meat is very inconsistent but if you want to spare yourself from potential E. coli from Chipotle down the street, BentOn is the place to be.
The salmon is also often dry but the sauce makes up for it. The other items like salads are just filler, but not absolutely terrible. Stick with the kale salad and the inari - they don't disappoint.
The other prepared dishes are slightly better. Noodle soups, rice dishes, etc. Onigiri is decent but heavy on rice and far too light on the protein.
Overall, come here when you've exhausted all the other area lunch options and want a hint of Americanized Japanese food.
Also, get a BentOn bento punch card. The staff won't automatically give you one and you will eventually fill it up and get something free. -

How do people still eat this stuff?
Came here with coworker who was picking up a bento box.
The moment we entered, it was like a freaking oven in the hot summer. The AC was broken.
The place was so dingy and dirty.
Foods that should be kept cool(like the ones in the salad bar) were in the open heat accumulating bacteria.
The food in the bento box was meh and not tasty. The chicken tasted like it was from a few days ago. -

In terms of ramen, I felt like this place was relatively authentic, although my plain ramen was a but flavorless. The spicy ramen that my friend ordered had a much more flavorful broth that I would likely order next time if I were to go back.

I had an allergic reaction after asking, before my purchase, if there were any nuts. Both employees said no. I was eating at home and three bites in my mouth is tingling and my throat is becoming sore.
After the fact I asked them if they could go back and check what had been in the food that I ate because I needed to know if this was going to get worse. The employee was so quiet I could barely hear her and when I asked her questions she didn't answer any of them.
After a frustrating phone call with her because their manager was not present, I took two extra doses because my severity varies by the type of nut. Also, because I didnt know which part of it contained nuts, I had to throw away the entire meal wasting $20 on low quality fast food. -

Went here for lunch since it's close to bf's work and we both love ramen. He said their ramen is really good/award winning ( or maybe it was). So here I am, so excited almost couldn't contain myself to try it. So we both got their premium. First glance, looks ok, nothing really in there to perk your salivary glands. Told myself maybe it's just the look, might taste way better than it looks. Then...... I took a spoonful of the broth. Omg!! So salty and it's not as tasty as other ramen that we tried. All I could taste is salt and green onions. Plus it came with 2 pieces of thinly sliced pork. And.. the ramen. It's mushy!!! It's not worth it's price of $15.
I tried as hard as I can to finish my bowl but eventually I think the bf noticed that I'm struggling and told me that o don't have to finish it. So I tapped out!!
Maybe just maybe I will try again.
